Pre-orders for LG Viper 4G with LTE on Sprint start April 12

Sprint's getting that much closer to actually launching an LTE device today, as the carrier has announced a coming pre-order date for the LG Viper 4G LTE smartphone. Sprint is offering the Viper 4G for $99.99 with a new two-year contract, and customers will be able to place a pre-order for one starting on April 12. The carrier still isn't saying when the phone will actually hit shelves, but it claims that more information on availability will be coming at a later date. The Viper 4G features recycled materials, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and support for Google Wallet.
